Silent Movie Mondays: Phantom of the Opera

The VBFC 2025-26 season kicks off with a special joint production with Vancouver Civic Theatres. This 100th anniversary celebration of the 1925 silent film Phantom of the Opera, set to an original score composed by Andrew Downing is part of VCT’s Silent Movie Monday series. This score was commissioned by the Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs in 2013! Featuring a 7-piece orchestra, 80-person choir, and Michael Dirk on the Wurlitzer Organ, celebrate the centennial year of this classic film in style. Join us in the West Coast Lounge for a pre-show performance by the Gatsby Strutters Jazz Band.

Enjoy your popcorn along with the sounds of live choral music as this cinematic classic unfolds!
