Mother/Land

The VBFC is proud to present the world premiere of Mother/Land, a poignant new opera-oratorio exploring love, community, the “other,” and determination. Written by Jeffrey Ryan and Michael Lewis MacLenna, Mother/Land illuminates the ancient and yet contemporary story of Naomi and Ruth, a mother and her loyal daughter in law who escape war and famine only to face discrimination as they establish a new life for themselves. Join the VBFC on May 16th at 7:30pm at the Vancouver Playhouse to experience this world premiere!
