Canadian soprano Elaina Moreau is an alumna of the Vancouver Opera Yulanda M Faris Young Artists Program. Recent performance highlights include Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore and Mother in Requiem for a Lost Girl (Vancouver Opera), the title role in L’incoronazione di Poppea (Trentino Music Festival, Italy), and a Dora Mavor Moore Award Winning performance as Young Ava/The House in Rocking Horse Winner (Tapestry Opera, Toronto). As a member of the Vancouver Opera In Schools program she also performed the role of Sally Smith/Isis in a school tour of Dean Burry’s The Scorpion’s Sting. Other roles include Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Pamina in Die ZauberDlöte , Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffman, Bettina/Celidora/Mirza in The Lost Operas of Mozart, Dalinda in Ariodante, and Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel. Moreau is a three-‐time District Winner and Northwestern Regional Finalist of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (2011, 2014 & 2016), a 2017 laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques, and was an international \inalist in the 2017 Riccardo Zandonai Concorso Internazionale di Cantanti Lirici (Riva del Garda, Italy). In 2014 she represented Canada as a quarter finalist in the Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition (Helsinki, Finland). Elaina received her training at the University of Toronto, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and the Aspen Opera Theatre Centre.
