Featuring a quartet of dazzling soloists from Vancouver, the Vancouver Bach Choir’s 2024 performance of Handel’s Messiah will offer something fresh for choral music fans, and accessible and fun for new concert attendees!
Long before Mariah Carey became the Queen of Christmas with her hit All I Want for Christmas, George Frederick Handel’s oratorio, Messiah, became synonymous with the festive season! Even though Messiah was first performed for Easter in 1742, It would be just as hard to find someone who hasn’t heard the Hallelujah chorus as to find someone who doesn’t recognize those little ringing glockenspiel notes at the top of Mariah’s hit!
