It is with great excitement that we welcome Gillian Hunter-Gibbs as the incoming Executive Director of the Vancouver Bach Choirs. Gillian is no stranger to us – she started her musical career in our Children’s Choirs, and credits her experience there with sparking a life-long passion for creating high level musical opportunities for a broad range of stakeholders. She has had over 15 years of experience in arts administration roles in the professional music industry. After graduating with her Masters degree from the University of Cambridge, she started her career in the UK, but returned to Vancouver to work at the VSO School of Music. There she occupied several roles, most recently as Director of the School. She currently sings with our Sarabande choir, and will be performing in our upcoming concerts at the Orpheum. We are thrilled to be welcoming such an accomplished individual – and one of our own – to take on this critical role. Gillian will begin as Executive Director on January 15th.
